What is actually is:  A solid luxury boutique hotel that punches above its weight. 

What it is not: Loud; the Lasalle feels like a secret hideaway tucked away on the upper 3 floors of a large building.

Hotel Design: 89 – An urban escape, with timeless elegance in a beautiful old building. 

Location: 89 – Sharing the same building/block as its older sibling, the JW Marriott Chicago, the Lasalle is well located in downtown Chicago. 

Sleep: 91 – Very comfortable beds, and no noticeable noise during our stay.

Service: 83 – The staff were all friendly and helpful. 

Room Design: 91– Warm and inviting, the spacious rooms are upscale and very comfortable. 

Room Amenities: 87 – Everything you’d expect from an urban 5 star hotel.

Hotel Amenities: 77 – Other than a fitness center and the hotel public spaces, there are not many extra amenities to offer here. 

Vibe: 89 – Casual but elegant, the hotel feels more intimate compared to some of the larger chain hotels in the area.  

Cleanliness/Maintenance: 90 – Very clean, no issues encountered. 

Value / Extras & Perks: 84 – A minor upgrade was provided, and breakfast was included due to status. 

OVERALL: 87.0

Would we stay again? Yes!
