Hotel Design: 82 – Perhaps not as interesting or unique as many of Portland’s more trendy boutique hotels, the Hyatt Regency still impresses with its modern and clean design.

Location: 89 – Good for its proximity to the convention centre and sporting venues (but stark immediate surroundings otherwise). This hotel’s east side location does place you closer some of Portland’s best neighbourhoods.

Sleep: 80 – Comfortable and surprisingly quiet, as some rooms face the MAX train line.

Service: 83 – Very friendly and efficient front desk staff.

Room Design: 83 – Modern and comfortable.

Room Amenities: 80 – Standard mid-range to upscale hotel amenities.

Hotel Amenities: 76 – Not many for a hotel of this size. The gym was small and none of the Peloton bikes were working during our stay.

Vibe: 77 – Bustling and busy, due to many events being held here.

Cleanliness/Maintenance: 85 – Very good overall.

Value / Extras & Perks: 76 – A higher floor room was provided, along with a later checkout with our Hyatt status. Rates vary greatly depending on nearby event, so your value may vary.
