Scores:
Hotel Design: 89 – A few low-rise building spread across spacious grounds, with a large pool.
Location: 86 – A peaceful setting on a rugged stretch of coastline, but far from things in general (including local restaurants/shops). Until they finish building the path to Candidasa, guests will not be able to walk to anything.
Sleep: 89 – Comfortable, no issues. Privacy between balconies can affect sleep depending on how loud your neighbors are.
Service: 84 – Professional yet friendly and casual. Service was unscripted and tailored to guests personalities.
Room Design: 87 – Small but functional with a nice balcony area (although privacy was slightly lacking)
Room Amenities: 77 – Fairly basic (especially for a higher end brand). Mini fridge, slippers, and robes were available.
Hotel Amenities: 79 – A large pool, and separate restaurant and bar areas. The breakfast offered a small buffet and a-la-carte options and the main restaurant had Indonesian and Western options. We were pleased with all our meals here! There is a yoga area but no gym. There are mats and hand weights and you can use the space for workouts. The hotel offers complimentary activities like stone painting and hat making. Daily tea is offered with a small selection of savory and sweet finger foods. The hotel currently offers a shuttle to town for shopping, a traditional village for shopping/touring, and a beach. You can also use the shuttle outside of scheduled times for a charge. Bikes are available, but the road around the hotel is very busy. **Grab does not work here.
Vibe: 95 – Tranquil old-school Bali. Mostly couples here.
Cleanliness/Maintenance: 92 – A well maintained older property, very clean overall
Value / Extras & Perks: 93 – A good breakfast was included as a Hyatt status perk, afternoon tea by the water was a nice touch. Often very good value for room rates
OVERALL: 87.1
Would we stay again? Yes! This ended up being a gem of a stay!
