Review: Hyatt Centric Montreal – A modern hotel in Old Montreal, with a nice rooftop pool!

Hotel Design: 85 – The hotel is about 7 stories tall and shares amenities with an attached apartment building. It feels like a standard city hotel with some more modern design elements.

Location: 85 – The hotel is located in Old Montreal (Ville-Marie) and is well connected to explore various areas and attraction in the city. There are not tons of things within steps of the hotel though. The closest metro station is about a 10 minute walk.

Sleep: 92 – The bed was very comfortable and the room soundproofing was good! The heating/cooling system was quiet.

Service: 80 – Service was adequate.

Room Design: 90 – The room design is a blend of an industrial vibe with cozy and modern elements, it’s a bit eclectic. The light fixtures are very modern, but the open closet looks more like an antique. There are a number of pieces of art in the room that do not fit one theme but add color and feature local elements.

Room Amenities: 87 – The room had a mini fridge, a Nespresso machine, 2 robes, a safe that fits a laptop, 2 bottles of water were provided daily, and the TV had the casting option to watch YouTube and more. The bathroom had a nice shower but the water pressure in the rainshower head was extremely low flow. Gilchrist and Soames “Bee Kind” toiletries are not the most exciting, but adequate.

Hotel Amenities: 88 – The hotel has an all day dining restaurant, a gym, event spaces, a rooftop bar, and a rooftop heated pool.

Vibe: 88 – A fun place to stay or to be, especially in the summer to enjoy the rooftop in better weather!

Cleanliness/Maintenance: 90 – The room was very clean and well maintained; daily housekeeping was provided and very good.

Value / Extras & Perks: 85 – Used a Hyatt Guest of Honor voucher. Room upgrade to a high floor king room was granted and complimentary breakfast was provided. The breakfast offered only includes the hot and cold buffet and drip coffee. It was adequate.
