While it’s not widely promoted, Hilton discounts rates at participating hotels by 20% through the MVP program. In order to get the rate, you must be a Hilton HHonors member (easy and free to sign-up) and in most cases affiliated to a sports entity to quality. Since I’m a Fitness Instructor/Personal Trainer it was easy to use this to qualify for the rate: all I did was show my employee ID badge at check-in and no additional questions were asked. If you are traveling to a sports tournament, you can also qualify and hopefully save you money.
