New Flight Route + Deals from YVR – Vancouver: Fly to Australia via Fiji for less than $600 with Fiji Airways

Exciting news to announce that Fiji Airways is launching a new service between YVR – Vancouver International Airport and NAN – Nadi International Airport in Fiji! Starting in November, Fiji Airways will be flying one of their A330-200s to NAN from YVR on Fridays and Mondays (also returning to Vancouver from Fiji on Fridays and Mondays).

We are super excited about this announcement, as it makes travel to the Southwest Pacific easier by avoiding a connection in Los Angeles or San Francisco. During the height of the pandemic, French Bee was stopping in Vancouver on its way to Tahiti to refuel and we were hoping they would add Vancouver as a 5^th freedom stop, but this was not the case. Also, to add insult to injury, Air Tahiti Nui decided to launch service between Seattle and Pepeete and so it makes sense for Fiji Airways to add this route.

As a special for the route launch, you can buy a return ticket in economy to Sydney or Melbourne for under $600CAD with a stop in Fiji. This is an amazing, once-in-a-lifetime deal that will disappear fast!

Fiji Airways is part of the Oneworld Alliance and it is the flag carrier airline of Fiji and operates in 13 countries and 23 cities.  As for their fleet, they have a mix of Airbus and Boeing aircraft. The YVR to NAN route will be serviced by an older A330-200 that has 249 Economy Class seating in a 31-32″ pitch, 6″ recline, in-seat video with 9” monitors, in-seat USB power and entertainment on demand. The flight time is blocked at 11 hours and 50 minutes to Nadi, and 11 hours and 5 minutes back to Vancouver.

If you continue on to Melbourne, it is about 6 hours on a 737MAX or 5 hours on a 737MAX or A350.

This is a very tempting deal and for the price, it is worth traveling in economy! We do have a trip to Fiji planned at the end of September and will be updating the website with more tips and information. We think this is an especially tempting offer for those in Canada who may want to visit to Australia to visit family during the holidays when flights are already ridiculously expensive.
